I'm working on a photography project on the aftermath of birth, capturing our skin in a fine art light, along with documenting stories that reveal realities we keep hidden. I seek to shed light on our common struggles post birth while celebrating our beauty and sacrifice through a photographic focus on our skin. I'm hoping to one day publish an intimate and yet empowering book with images and stories of birth, bodies and parenthood from around the world.
For now I am scheduling sessions with people and/or their children in my home. Before our session I invite you to fill out a questionnaire to share details of your story so that I can tailor our time together. In exchange for your participation I offer to take portraits that you desire for yourself. Faces, names and/or personal details are not required for the project.
